The plug was finally pulled on redshirt junior quarterback Jeff Driskel.

With just 14 seconds remaining in the third quarter, true freshman Treon Harris was inserted into the game as the starting quarterback after a dismal three quarters from Driskel. Harris took over at the Vols’ 27-yard line following a fumble recovered by cornerback Jalen Tabor.

On his first drive, Harris led the Gators to a touchdown and Florida’s first points on the game. The Gators’ new quarterback went 1-for-1 for 12 yards and had a run of 10 yards.

As of this posting, the Gators trail Tennessee 9-7 with 13:40 left in the game.
