Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa suffered a serious hip injury during the 2019 season, and he has had a long recovery period.
However, there are still questions as the 2020 NFL Draft approaches. He’s still projected to be an early first-round pick, but teams will want to make sure he’s fully healthy.
In an interview with the NFL Network, Tagovailoa provided a positive update, saying he’d be ready to go if the season started today:
“I feel 100 percent,” Tagovailoa said. “I feel like if there was a game today, I’d be able to go out and perform the same way I was able to perform in previous years. I feel as mobile as possible. I feel 100 percent.”
NFL teams can’t exactly conduct their own workouts with the former Alabama star at this point, though, so we’ll see if they believe Tagovailoa’s words.
It’d be great to see him fully healthy if he takes the field this fall.
