Dillon Gabriel is an intriguing quarterback in the transfer portal, and the former UCF QB may be headed to the SEC West.
UCF quarterback Dillon Gabriel will take an official visit on campus to Ole Miss with his brother and a close friend, a person familiar with the decision told Brandon Marcello of 247Sports. Gabriel is rated the nation’s No. 2 quarterback in 247Sports’ transfer portal rankings. He opted to leave UCF after he sat out most of the season with a broken collarbone suffered on the last play of a Week 3 loss against Louisville.
Gabriel, who announced the move to the portal less than a week ago, in 3 games before his injury threw for 818 yards, 9 touchdowns and 3 interceptions. He added 125 yards and 2 touchdowns as a runner.
Ole Miss has been a heavy favorite to land Gabriel since he announced earlier this week his intention to leave UCF. His time at UCF overlapped with assistant coach Jeff Lebby, who is now the offensive coordinator at Ole Miss.
