Notes and updates from Under Armour All-America Game practice week:
Mack Wilson will wait: Five-star linebacker Lyndell “Mack” Wilson confirmed he won’t be making any decisions during the Under Armour All-America Game and will take official visits to Georgia (Jan. 15), Alabama (Jan. 22) and Florida (Jan. 29). His announcement likely will be televised on national signing day, Feb. 3, 2016. The 6-foot-2, 235-pound Wilson is from Montgomery, Ala.
While the Gators appear to be in good position it’s uncertain if Georgia or Alabama is close behind. Wilson told Derek Tyson at ESPN that he’s leaning toward “Florida and Georgia” but told AL.com that it was more like “40-40-20” with Florida and Alabama tied and Georgia being third.
Georgia, however, may have the ace in the hole with head coach Kirby Smart. Wilson repeated called Smith a “father figure” and things should become much clearer (or less clear) after Wilson visits Athens.
Drake Davis decision Saturday: Four-star wide receiver Drake Davis is ready to make his decision at the game Saturday and he’s choosing between LSU, Alabama, Texas A&M and Ole Miss.
Davis, a 6-foot-3, 220-pound prospect who played his senior year at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., has said Ole Miss is his favorite.
LSU would appear to be in the best position to change his mind.
Where is Gary going? The nation’s consensus No. 1 player, Rashan Gary, a defensive tackle out of Paramus, N.J., is still likely heading to Michigan, but Ole Miss appears to have solidly jumped into the second spot and by now we should know not to put a signing-day shocker past Hugh Freeze.

FSU commit to visit Alabama: The top center in the nation, Baveon Johnson, a 6-4, 330-pounder out of Lakeland, Fla., will take an official visit to Alabama and may have others lined up as well. He has targeted Alabama commit Kendell Jones at every camp, showcase, all-star game, they’ve both been at and has continued to battle with the 375-pound nose guard from Allen, Texas at the Under Armour practices. Johnson is thought to be a solid commitment to Florida State.
