Vanderbilt baseball won its 4th SEC Tournament title Sunday afternoon, downing upset-minded Texas A&M 10-4.
The Commodores and Aggies were not exactly the 2 teams everyone expected to make it to the title game on Sunday, but they absolutely deserved their spots after downing Florida and Arkansas in the semis, respectively. Texas A&M saw the most improbable run of the tournament, placing themselves firmly in the Field of 64 with an incredible sprint towards the title game.
Troy LaNeve got the party started for Vanderbilt, crushing (emphasis on “crushing”) a 3-run shot into the forest behind the Hoover Met to give the Commodores a 3-1 lead. RJ Austin’s 7th hit at Hoover added another run in the bottom of the 3rd.

The Aggies still had some fight left in them. A&M rallied back, tying the game at 4-all before a sac bunt by Enrique Bradfield gave the Commodores the lead once more, 5-4. Vanderbilt would add 5 more runs as insurance before officially being crowned champs, including the below rope to increase the lead to 6.
