Vanderbilt is off to a 2-0 start in 2018. A win in Week 3 would turn heads not only in the SEC, but nationwide.
The Commodores opened the season with a 35-7 win over Middle Tennessee State in Week 1. Derek Mason’s squad followed it up with a 41-10 win over Nevada in Week 2. Things are about to get a lot more difficult, though.
No. 8 Notre Dame is also 2-0 and has already knocked off a top-15 team, No. 14 Michigan (24-17 in Week 1). Below, find kickoff time, TV channel information and odds for the Vanderbilt-Notre Dame football game.

However, the Commodores are 2-0 and their defense is looking stout (and the offense serviceable) as they move through their schedule.
When they take on the Fighting Irish this weekend, they’ll do so in a sleek uniform combination — with white helmets, white jerseys and white pants.
Flashback: Derek Mason talks trip to Notre Dame at SEC Media Days
SEC Media Days were held July 17-19 at the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta. When Vanderbilt coach Derek Mason spoke to the media, he was asked the Commodores’ trip to Notre Dame. He may have delivered the quote of the day with his reponse.
“Yeah, we play in the SEC,” Mason said. “I don’t worry about going to South Bend.”
