Vanderbilt scores commitment from talented JUCO OL Carlton Lorenz

The Vanderbilt Commodores received good news Sunday.

Derek Mason’s team scored a commitment from JUCO OT Carlton Lorenz. The 6-foot-5, 280-pound Mission Hills, California, native committed to the Commodores over New Mexico State, UAB and FAU, among others.

Lorenz joins TE Joel DeCoursey as Vanderbilt’s two lone commitments for the class of 2019.

Lorenz played TE in high school and played his first season at NAIA school Robert Morris. He then left Robert Morris for JUCO ball to chase his dream of playing division 1 football, and Vanderbilt has given him that opportunity.
