Alabama’s defense is at it again.
Sophomore defensive back Ronnie Harrison returned an interception of Tennessee quarterback Josh Dobbs 58 yards for a touchdown, which is the Crimson Tide’s eighth defensive touchdown this season. For those keeping score at home, that’s also Alabama’s 10th non-offensive touchdown of the season, a feat the Crimson Tide has pulled off in all seven games this season.
Those eight defensive touchdowns have been scored by seven different players, with Harrison being the only one to score twice. The defense has accounted for 21.6 percent of Alabama’s total touchdowns this season.
Dobbs was trying to find Jalen Hurd on a screen pass, but Alabama linebacker Reuben Foster got a piece of the running back and gave Harrison a free path to the football. The play put the No. 1 Crimson Tide ahead of the No. 9 Volunteers 14-0 in Knoxville.
