Florida will surely miss Teez Tabor and Quincy Wilson if the pair decides to head to the NFL, but the Gators’ secondary appears to still be in good hands.

Getting an opportunity to make some plays, freshman defensive back Chauncey Gardner made the most of it. Early in the fourth quarter, Gardner snagged a tipped pass and raced down the sideline for a 58-yard touchdown.

This matchup was expected to be a defensive battle, but it’s been the Gators’ defense that has made plays all afternoon. Gardner’s pick-six was Florida’s fourth interception returned for a touchdown this season, which is the second-most for the Gators since 1980.
