The players had barely left the field after Florida’s 30-3 Outback Bowl victory over Iowa when the Raymond James Stadium grounds crew began tearing up the grass.
It was out with the old and in with the new as the crew placed 18-month-old Bermuda grass in place of the Outback Bowl turf ahead of Monday night’s national championship game showdown between Alabama and Clemson.
The above time-lapse video shows the whole intensive process, minus the painting of the field, which had yet to be finished.
However, it looks like everything will be set up and ready to go for Monday night’s big title showdown.
