Desperate times call for desperate measures.
Texas was desperate indeed on the final play of its 45-40 loss at No. 20 Oklahoma, backed up on its own 17-yard line and in need of a touchdown. What ensued was the typical multi-lateral play, only this one was a bit more bizarre than usual.
The Longhorns actually advanced the ball up to the 40-yard line before a series of backward passes doomed their comeback bid. Jerrod Heard caught the final lateral around the Texas 8-yard line before being thrown down for what officially went down as a loss of 9 yards.
