Washington signs 3 former Alabama players to its practice squad

The Washington Football Team won’t need as many name tags as they get started with greetings for the practice team players.
That’s because 3 former Alabama players will be on it, in TE Hale Hentges, C Ross Pierschbacher and WR Cam Sims, the team announced.
CBS Sports reported that Hentges lost the starting tight end position to Logan Thomas and Jeremy Sprinkle Hengtes, who was an undrafted free agent back in 2018, does have some familiarity with the Washington offense, after he made 8 receptions, 103 yards and a touchdown last year.
Pierschbacher was originally selected by Washington in the fifth round (153rd overall) of the 2019 NFL Draft, and appeared in 5 games with Washington as a rookie. He will likely have a chance to make the team as a reserve center or guard.
For Sims, the third-year wideout had trouble transferring practice and training camp production into meaningful contributions during games. For his career, he has just 2 catches for 27 yards.
