WATCH: College GameDay aired its most powerful segment ever on Saturday

Sadly, back in January, Washington State QB Tyler Hilinski (brother of South Carolina QB commit Ryan Hilinski) took his own life.
That tragedy struck a chord with ESPN reporter Ivan Maisel, who lost his own college-aged son, Max, to suicide.
Linked by unspeakable tragedy, the Hilinskis spoke with Maisel for a powerful College GameDay segment on Saturday. As you can see in the video below, it was excellent work for a story that was painful for both sides to tell:

Mental health issues are still not discussed as freely and as openly as they should, and both the Hilinskis and Maisel acknowledge that in the segment.
Losing a child is something most of us can’t imagine (thankfully), but that doesn’t make stories like the one above any less important, powerful or emotional.
