WATCH: Dan Mullen greets Florida fans with Gator Chomp after arriving in Gainesville

The Florida Gators wanted an exciting head coach with passion for the job after the Jim McElwain era came to a close earlier this year.
It appears they found just that in former Mississippi State coach Dan Mullen, who was Urban Meyer’s offensive coordinator during Florida’s 2006 and 2008 title runs.
As you can see in the video below, shared by @ByAndrewOlson on Twitter, Mullen is already showing how thrilled he is to be back in Gainesville, doing the Gator Chomp while getting off the plane:

Upon entering his new office, Mullen commented that he already has photos of himself with two of the Gators’ three national championship trophies:

Mullen has been a great developer of quarterbacks, something that Florida desperately needs these days.
It’ll be interesting to see how the Mullen era plays out with Florida, but it’s an exciting time to be a Gator fan right now.
