Former Texas A&M RHP Corbin Martin was called up to the big leagues this weekend to make a Mother’s Day start against the Texas Rangers.
The newest Houston Astro didn’t disappoint, throwing 5.1 innings, striking out nine and allowing only two runs in what became a 15-5 victory for Houston.
After the game, Martin’s mom visited him outside the locker room, and he handed her cleats, a baseball and a hat from his first MLB win:

That has to be just about the best Mother’s Day gift Martin’s mom could have asked for, as she saw her son win and play as well as he did.
That’ll be a memorable start for Martin and his mother for the rest of their lives.
