WATCH: Former Auburn kicker somehow hit the upright 4 times in one game

It’s one thing for an NFL kicker to miss four field goal attempts in a game. But entirely another for that same kicker to miss four field goal attempts by hitting an upright every time.

In fact, it’s easily far more difficult to do what former Auburn K Cody Parkey managed to pull off on Sunday kicking for the Chicago Bears against the Detroit Lions.

In order, they came on an extra point attempt, another extra point, a 41-yard field goal attempt and a 34-yard field goal attempt. The misses were right upright, left upright, right upright, right upright. Boos rained down each time at Soldier Field, and they were louder with each kick.

Being a bottom line business, Parkey’s future with the Bears could be in doubt. However, if he can make it to the Bears’ next game, he likely won’t see something like this in his career again.
