WATCH: Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz sports busted lip during post-game interview after headbutting player
Kirk Ferentz was obviously fired up after Iowa’s thrilling win against Nebraska on Friday.
Maybe a little too fired up.
The Hawkeyes coach performed his post-game interview with a bloody upper lip, which he attributed to accidentally headbutting quarterback Nate Stanley while celebrating the team’s game-winning field goal. Ferentz didn’t seem to care about it all that much, as you can see in a clip of the interview tweeted by CBS Sports HQ.

Miguel Recinos nailed a 41-yard field goal as time expired to lift Iowa to a 31-28 victory. The Hawkeyes squandered a 28-13 lead in the fourth quarter but banded together to finish the regular season with an 8-4 record.
That was cause enough for Ferentz and the rest of his team to celebrate to the point of the coach hurting himself. It seems like he thinks it was worth it, though.
