Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts not only escaped a third negative play early in the game against LSU, he scrambled to keep a drive alive.
Hurts avoided a sack by two LSU defenders on second down and six as he ran for seven yards at the Crimson Tide 28-yard line.
Four plays later, Hurts connected with Irv Smith Jr. on a four-yard touchdown to give Alabama a 7-0 lead. Another key play on that drive was a 47-yard pass to Henry Ruggs III.
