Last year, Alabama scored a lot of non-offensive touchdowns, but that hasn’t been the case this year, as the Crimson Tide had only scored one defensive touchdown all year entering Monday night’s Sugar Bowl.

However, the defense came up big to start the second half against Clemson, with DL Da’Ron Payne recording an interception on one possession and LB Mack Wilson adding a big play on the Tigers’ next drive.

As you can see in the video below, CB Levi Wallace tips a Kelly Bryant pass into the air, where Wilson is waiting. He then takes it to the house to put Alabama ahead 24-6:

The Tide are rolling now, leading the Tigers 24-6 late in the third quarter. After Georgia’s dramatic Rose Bowl victory earlier in the day, we are getting closer to an all-SEC championship game.

Alabama has proven those who doubted that it should get into the Playoff wrong, and could be well on its way to yet another title game appearance.
