Redshirt sophomore Jordan Allen is attending college halfway across the country, and he’s unable to be close to his mother.
Allen’s mother, Lisa, is battling an illness, something everyone knew about before he signed with Tennessee. He returned to California in late January to be with his mother as she underwent surgery. With another surgery scheduled soon, Allen’s mother decided to surprise him in Tennessee.
It was set up well with assistant Chris Rumph, who called Allen into his office pretending he’d been in trouble.
@dontsleeponj didn’t know I was coming because I have surgery on Tuesday. I had to make this trip. CoachJPruitt said come on and @CoachRumph helped me out with the surprise… Jordan thought he was in big trouble and ran up to Coach Rumph office and it was me 🧡💪🏽❤🏈📚💯 pic.twitter.com/ewF7SPhBOn
