Johnny Manziel isn’t the only recent SEC standout attempting a comeback in the NFL. Like Manziel, Mason has not suited up in the NFL since 2015. At age 24, he could potentially still have much to offer a team, if he can keep his act together off the field.
Former Auburn running back Tre Mason made it clear he’s doing everything he can to work his way back into the game’s highest level with the release of a new highlight video titled Episode 1: Acquisition.
In his video, he alludes to his off the field issues but also claims the media got the story wrong — while he does admit his off the field concerns have kept him out of the NFL.
“It’s time to show the world who Tre Mason really is,” Mason says to end the video.
