The biggest offensive addition for South Carolina is already paying dividends.
Late in the first quarter, Clemson transfer Tavien Feaster made a spin move at the line of scrimmage to escape a would-be tackler. He then scampered the remaining 34 yards for a touchdown, shown in this video from @ftbeard_17 on Twitter. While RB Rico Dowdle started the game, Feaster had 50 yards on his first four carries. The score came with 3:09 left in the first quarter and put the Gamecocks up 10-3.
Feaster’s addition gives South Carolina legitimate 1-2 punch at running back, and also keeps a healthy competition going for the feature back role.
