Sometimes, sports are brutal.

LSU did not look like LSU Saturday night in a 38-23 loss to Texas A&M, a team that finished the year 5-7 in one of the most disappointing stories of the season.

LSU’s slim chances of clinching a spot in the College Football Playoff field are gone, too. The Tigers now have 3 losses on the season and will miss out on the field even with a win over Georgia in the SEC Championship game.

Tigers head coach Brian Kelly spoke to the media following the Tigers’ loss to the Aggies. He noted that this has been one of the most enjoyable years of his career.

Kelly also noted that the Tigers did not have any fire Saturday night.

Star QB Jayden Daniels left at one point in the later stages of the game and reentered. Kelly shed some light on why that was postgame as well.

Daniels threw for 189 yards with 0 touchdowns on the day.
