The Georgia Bulldogs currently have the nation’s No. 1 2020 recruiting class, and have put together some great classes under coach Kirby Smart.

However, those recruiting classes don’t come cheap, as the Dawgs spend a ton of money in order to land some of the nation’s top high school players.

Per OnlineAthens.com, the Bulldogs spent $3.7 million on recruiting during the 2019 fiscal year:

Football recruiting expenses jumped more than $1 million to $3.7 million in the most recent fiscal year. The Bulldogs already led the nation in the previous fiscal year—by $250,000 more than Alabama—according to numbers reported by USA Today.

Clemson reported spending $2.2 million on football recruiting and Oklahoma $1.28 million for the 2019 fiscal year.

Clearly, what the Bulldogs are spending is working. They continue landing top recruits and putting together great classes.

Now, it’ll be up to Smart and the on-field staff to turn that talent into SEC and national titles.
