A former SEC wide receiver was released Tuesday when ex-Texas A&M WR Josh Reynolds was let go by the Tennessee Titans.
Per Mike Garafolo, Reynolds asked for his release, which was granted by the team:
WR Josh Reynolds asked for, and was granted, his release from the #Titans today, source says. He signed as a free agent this offseason before they traded for Julio Jones. Reynolds, 26, heads to waivers, where claiming teams will owe him only $500k the rest of the way.

Reynolds had reportedly requested the release due to a lack of playing time after the club traded for former Atlanta Falcons wideout Julio Jones earlier this year.
Reynolds had signed with the Titans as a free agent this past offseason. If a team were to sign him moving forward, it would only cost them $500,000.
So far, Reynolds has only caught 10 passes for 90 yards and 0 touchdowns in 2021. Prior to him signing with the Titans this offseason, Reynolds was with the Los Angeles Rams for 4 years.
His best season with the club came last year, when he caught 52 passes for 618 yards and 3 touchdowns.
