After a rough first 3 drives in his preseason debut, former Ohio State QB Justin Fields finally turned things around for the Chicago Bears.

The first-round draft pick finished the game 14-for-20 passing for 142 yards and a touchdown. He also added 33 yards and a touchdown as a rusher.

But, after the game, he provided plenty of bulletin-board material for opposing defenses moving forward. Fields was asked about the speed of the pro game as opposed to college and he said the NFL felt slow to him:

Later in his answer, he noted that playing against the Bears’ defense every day in practice helps slow things down for him, too:

The Bears host the Bills in their next preseason matchup on Saturday, Aug. 21. You can bet the Bills’ defense will try to give Fields his “Welcome to the NFL” moment.
