The swag may be gone, but Chad Kelly is still as confident as ever.

The former Ole Miss quarterback and current Indianapolis Colt got the attention of football fans everywhere when he boldly declared that he is the second-fastest QB in the NFL behind only Lamar Jackson.

“Beside @Lj_era8, I’m faster than every quarterback in the NFL, race me !” Kelly tweeted Friday night.

Kelly may be responding to “Madden 21” ratings. Mike Chairi of Bleacher Report notes that the EA Sports game gives Kelly an “80” for speed in the video game, which is an above-average rating for a quarterback, but behind Jackson (96), Kyler Murray (91), Taysom Hill (90) and Marcus Mariota (88). We’ll see if Murray, Hill or Mariota take Kelly up on the offer to race.

Kelly will likely need an impressive camp to remain an NFL quarterback. Philip Rivers and Jacoby Brissett lead the Colts’ quarterback room. The team selected former Georgia and Washington quarterback Jacob Eason in the fourth round of this year’s draft.
