Lane Kiffin has never been one to censor his thoughts. He’ll say what’s on his mind, and that makes him one of the best interviews in college football.

However, it should also come as no surprise that his style of speaking can sometimes rub people the wrong way.

During Wednesday’s SEC coaches media call, Kiffin relived the time he angered then-Florida coach Urban Meyer when he appeared on College GameDay during his time as Tennessee’s head coach:

“I guess we are on an 11- or 12-year anniversary since I did GameDay and picked this game, Urban got mad at me for picking Alabama. I said Florida has better players, they (Alabama) have better coaches. I don’t do that stuff anymore,” Kiffin said. “Alabama is so hot right, now, I don’t know if anyone could stop them. It should be a great game.”

Kiffin didn’t ruffle any feathers ahead of next weekend’s Alabama-Florida SEC title game this time around, but he did say he thinks Alabama will be tough to beat.

We’ll see if the Crimson Tide can keep their No. 1 ranking in Atlanta next week and if Kiffin makes anyone angry during the time between now and that game. It’s anyone’s guess!
