Vaught-Hemingway goalposts have new home in Oxford apartment

Chaos reigned when Ole Miss stunned Alabama in a packed Vaught-Hemingway Stadium Saturday afternoon, as Rebels fans stormed the field in masses to celebrate the victory. Per college football tradition, the goalposts on the field were ripped out of the ground and carried out of the stadium amid the celebration.
Ever wonder what happens to those goalposts after fans clear the field? Sometimes they make it into a lucky kid’s apartment. How? Not sure. But here’s visual proof of where one set of Vaught-Hemingway’s goalposts ended up Saturday night.
