Ole Miss senior defensive back Montrell Custis has entered the NCAA transfer portal, according to AL.com’s Matt Zenitz.

Custis, from Jonesboro, Georgia, is set to graduate and would be a graduate transfer, meaning he can play immediately. Obviously, just because Custis has entered the transfer portal doesn’t mean he’ll actually transfer. It means that college coaches and programs can contact him about his desire to transfer. He can always return to Ole Miss.

Custis suffered a season-ending knee injury in 2018 in the third game of the season against Alabama. He totaled 13 tackles before getting injured. During his three-year Ole Miss career, Custis has made 33 tackles and six passes defended.

Ole Miss’ official website shows no record of Custis’ stats for 2019.

When he signed with Ole Miss in the class of 2015, Custis was a 3-star prospect and ranked as the nation’s No. 49 cornerback and the state of Georgia’s No. 46 overall prospect, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.
