In most 2019 NFL Mock Drafts you see these days, between 14 and 16 SEC athletes are projected to go in Round 1.

Based on that, NFL.com analyst Peter Schrager’s latest mock draft is actually a little light on SEC talent, containing only 12 players from the conference.

As you can see below, he has three Alabama players and three Georgia players in the mix for Round 1 as the draft is now less than a month away:

  • No. 3 — Josh Allen, EDGE, Kentucky — New York Jets
  • No. 5 — Devin White, LB, LSU — Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  • No. 6 — Drew Lock, QB, Mizzou — New York Giants
  • No. 8 — Quinnen Williams, DL, Alabama — Detroit Lions
  • No. 9 — Jawaan Taylor, OL, Florida — Buffalo Bills
  • No. 14 — Jonah Williams, OL, Alabama — Atlanta Falcons
  • No. 15 — D.K. Metcalf, WR, Ole Miss — Washington Redskins
  • No. 21 — Montez Sweat, EDGE, Mississippi State — Seattle Seahawks
  • No. 23 — Deandre Baker, DB, Georgia — Houston Texans
  • No. 25 — Josh Jacobs, RB, Alabama — Philadelphia Eagles
  • No. 30 — Riley Ridley, WR, Georgia — Green Bay Packers
  • No. 32 — D’Andre Walker, EDGE, Georgia — New England Patriots

With a few more pro days left to go, these are sure to change a couple of times more between now and the draft. We’ll see if a couple more SEC guys creep into Schrager’s first round.
