The 2023 NFL Draft begins in only a couple of weeks in Kansas City. Round 1 kicks off on Thursday, April 27, and as always, plenty of SEC players should hear their names called.

On Sunday, CBS Sports analyst Ryan Wilson updated his first-round mock draft, and a total of 13 SEC stars are expected to be taken.

As you can see below, Wilson has the SEC accounting for 4 of the first 5 picks, including the No. 1 overall selection:

  • No. 4 — Will Anderson Jr., Edge, Alabama — Arizona Cardinals
  • No. 5 — Jalen Carter, DL, Georgia — Seattle Seahawks
  • No. 13 — Broderick Jones, OL, Georgia — New York Jets
  • No. 14 — Darnell Wright, OL, Tennessee — New England Patriots
  • No. 19 — O’Cyrus Torrence, OL, Florida — Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  • No. 20 — Nolan Smith, Edge, Georgia — Seattle Seahawks
  • No. 23 — Will Levis, QB, Kentucky — Minnesota Vikings
  • No. 24 — Brian Branch, DB, Alabama — Jacksonville Jaguars
  • No. 27 — Drew Sanders, LB, Arkansas — Buffalo Bills
  • No. 30 — BJ Ojulari, Edge, LSU — Philadelphia Eagles
  • No. 31 — Darnell Washington, TE, Georgia — Kansas City Chiefs
