4 SEC teams among 10 schools to make bowl game, March Madness and NCAA Baseball Tournament
It’s tough enough to be excellent at one sport when you’re a major NCAA school, but to be successful across the board in football, men’s basketball and baseball is a different story.
Only 10 schools during the 2018-19 school year have sent teams to an FBS bowl game, the NCAA Basketball Tournament and the NCAA Baseball Tournament.
As you can see below, four SEC programs — Auburn, LSU, Mississippi State and Florida — are among those elite athletic departments:

Michigan and Ohio State (Big Ten), Arizona State (Pac-12), Baylor (Big 12), Duke (ACC) and Cincinnati (AAC) are the other programs to achieve this honor.
Auburn made it the farthest in men’s basketball of the SEC teams, making it to the Final Four. LSU and Florida both made New Year’s 6 bowl games in football. Now, we just have to wait to see which SEC team makes it furthest in the College World Series.
