Through five weeks, announced attendance in NCAA FBS games has seen a 1 percent decrease compared to 2013 and nearly a 7 percent slide from three years ago. The average FBS home crowd this season is 44,997, according to a CBSSports.com analysis of college football attendance data. This is a decrease from 45,596 through five weeks last year, 47,181 in 2012 and 48,279 in 2011.

However, the SEC has seen positive numbers in 2014. Five SEC teams (Texas A&M, LSU, Alabama, Tennessee and Georgia) rank in the top 10 for average crowd attendance for each Power 5 conference and all but three teams (Alabama, Florida and Kentucky) have seen an increase since last season.

Texas A&M leads the conference with an average crowd of 104,298 and ranks No. 2 nationally behind Ohio State. The Aggies also saw the largest increase since last year at 20 percent. LSU (101, 460) and Alabama (101,316) also make the top 5 rankings for average crowd.

Tennessee ranks first among SEC East teams with 100,997 and a 12 percent increase since 2013. The Vols rank are No. 6 overall. Georgia rounds out the top ten with 92, 746 and an increase of less than 1 percent.
