More college basketball programs were the subject of additional counts in the investigation into the underbelly of recruiting.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office announced additional charges against Adidas for allegedly defrauding multiple programs. Kansas and NC State were the latest programs involved in the alleged scandal.

The U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York filed charges against former Adidas executive James Gatto, who was arrested for his role in the scandal last fall. He faced additional charges for making payments to families of six student-athletes.

The six-student athletes ultimately attended Kansas, Louisville, Miami and NC State, all of whom are represented by Adidas. Miami and Louisville had already been named in previous reports connected to Gatto, but Kansas and NC State were both new additions to the scandal.

Ex-Auburn assistant Chuck Person was one of 10 assistant coaches who was among the 10 men who were arrested as a result of the FBI’s investigation into payments for families of recruits.

The NCAA has yet to announce a punishment for the result of the investigations.
