Entering Thursday, we’d already had 3 big college football matchups — Vanderbilt-Mizzou, LSU-Florida and Baylor-Oklahoma State — postponed due to COVID-19 outbreaks.

Now, we can add a fourth game to the list, and this one involves a top-10 team out of the AAC.

Per reports on Thursday morning, the game between No. 8 Cincinnati and Tulsa has been moved back to Dec. 5 due to a COVID outbreak in the Bearcats’ program:

“We are disappointed we will be unable to play Tulsa Saturday,” Cincinnati AD John Cunningham said in a release. “We knew this season was going to require a lot of patience and flexibility and disruptions were likely to happen. The health and safety of student-athletes, coaches and staff is always our primary focus and we appreciated the outstanding work and continued dedicated of our medical staff throughout the pandemic.”

As Cunningham said, this season is going to require patience and flexibility as we continue to navigate our way through a pandemic. This likely won’t be the last game postponed in 2020.
