Belly-flopping linemen: CFB team runs one of the best trick plays you'll see all season
Campbell University’s season is officially over, as the Camels played only 4 games this fall due to cancelations and postponements. Unfortunately for them, they finished 0-4 after losing to Georgia Southern, Coastal Carolina, Appalachian State and Wake Forest.
Friday night’s loss to the Demon Deacons got ugly — 52-21, but it didn’t stop Campbell from running one of the best trick plays you’ll see all season.
The quarterback took the snap in the shotgun, and every offensive lineman literally did a belly flop on the ground. Wake Forest’s defensive linemen didn’t know what to do, so they followed the ball. The wide receiver caught the ball and threw it back to the quarterback who walked in for a touchdown.
While Campbell’s players won’t remember much about this forgetful season, they will remember that play against a Power 5 program.
