College football has 4 promising games for fans to choose from on Friday.
To start things off, Clemson and Kentucky meet up in the Gator Bowl. It will be the 1st time that they have played each other since the 2009 Music City Bowl. The Tigers are favored by 3.5 points as Mark Stoops is on the cusp of his 2nd 8-win season at Kentucky.
After that is the Sun Bowl with Oregon State and Notre Dame meeting for the 1st time since the 2004 Insight Bowl. Both teams will be without their starting quarterbacks. D.J. Uiagalelei is in the transfer portal and Sam Hartman opted out to prepare for the 2024 NFL Draft. Ben Gulbranson will be suiting up for the Beavers, while Steve Angeli will be starting for the 1st time in a Notre Dame uniform.
Memphis head coach Ryan Silverfield will be searching for his 1st 10-win season of his tenure against Iowa State in the Liberty Bowl. This will be a home game for the Tigers, who won’t even leave town for their bowl. Even though it’s in Memphis, the Cyclones are still favored by 10.5 points.
Last, but certainly not least, is the Cotton Bowl. Missouri and Ohio State compete in a New Year’s 6 Bowl to close out the day. Ohio State will have Devin Brown under center with Brady Cook on the other sideline for Missouri.
