Daniel Holmes is still considering a pair of SEC programs as he weighs his future options.

Florida and South Carolina each made his top 6 along with a trio of Big Ten programs and 1 from the ACC. Michigan, Maryland, Rutgers and Florida State made his list.

Here’s his announcement:

Holmes is the No. 292 overall player and the No. 32 defensive lineman in the country for the class of 2024, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 2 player from Washington D.C.

He attends Gonzaga High School in Washington D.C. He’s listed at 6-foot-6, 240 pounds. Holmes has also received offers from top programs such as Penn State, Texas and Wisconsin, but they did not make the cut.

Florida has 8 commitments so far in the class of 2024. The Gators’ class ranks No. 11 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

South Carolina is in a similar place at this point in the cycle. The Gamecocks already have 9 commitments and own the nation’s No. 10-ranked class, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
