Desmond Ricks, 5-star SEC CB target for 2023, announces top 3 and decision date

Desmond Ricks, one of the country’s most sought-after recruits in the 2023 cycle regardless of position, has announced his 3 finalists and his commitment date.
Ricks is considered among the top 5 cornerbacks in the class and has been recruited heavily by college programs nationally. On Thursday, though, he revealed a top 3 of Alabama, Florida, and LSU, along with a commitment date of Dec. 23. That’s down from a top 10 that included Texas A&M, Miami, Ohio State, Oregon, USC, future SEC program Oklahoma, and Deion Sanders’ Jackson State.
The 6-foot-1, 170-pounder from IMG Academy was originally a 2024 recruit. However, on Oct. 23, he announced that he was reclassifying to the class of 2023. He will take official visits to all 3 of his finalists — Alabama on Nov. 23, Florida on Dec. 2, and LSU on Dec. 16 — before making a decision 2 days before Christmas.
