ESPN FPI Rankings After Week 12: Alabama falls from No. 1 spot despite win
ESPN FPI rankings have been updated after Week 12 of the college football season, and we have a new No. 1 team.
Despite the Alabama Crimson Tide taking care of business at home against Mercer on Saturday, they have fallen from the top spot.
Taking Alabama’s place at No. 1? Texas. The Longhorns jumped up a spot after beating Arkansas on the road. It wasn’t a convincing win, but it was enough for Texas to leapfrog the Tide. Ohio State, Notre Dame and Georgia rounded out the top 5 of this week’s updated rankings.
Meanwhile an undefeated Oregon team is only No. 8 in the rankings despite another victory on Saturday night at Wisconsin.
