Alabama and Georgia played in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game last season. And the Crimson Tide and the Bulldogs are expected to again be two of the top teams in the country in 2018.

With the SEC Media Days taking place in Atlanta this week, ESPN released its SEC preseason power rankings on Monday, unsurprisingly ranking Alabama at No. 1 and Georgia at No. 2.

Georgia is the only SEC East team in the top four spots in ESPN’s rankings, as Auburn and Mississippi State came in at Nos. 3 and 4, respectively. However, Florida was ranked No. 5 and South Carolina at No. 6.

Five SEC schools have new coaches for the 2018 season. After Mississippi State (Joe Moorhead) and Florida (Dan Mullen), Texas A&M was the next highest ranked team with a new coach. The Aggies, who are now led by Jimbo Fisher, were ranked No. 8, just behind LSU.
