With the number of undefeated teams decreasing every week, college football fans can’t get enough rankings.

The College Football Playoff selection committee will soon share how its members rank the best teams in the country, but until then we have traditional polls (Associated Press Top 25, Coaches Poll) and outlet/writer rankings like the ESPN Power Rankings.

Mark Schlabach has updated ESPN’s Top 25 in the post-Week 8 power rankings. Schlabach still has LSU No. 1 in his Power Rankings after the Tigers delivered a convincing 36-13 win over Mississippi State in Starkville. Schlabach also keeps Alabama at No. 3 (with Ohio State at No. 2) after UA’s home win over rival Tennessee.

Florida improved to 7-1 with a 38-27 win at South Carolina, but Schlabach dropped the Gators from No. 8 to No. 9 this week. Schlabach moved Oregon to No. 8 after the Ducks beat Washington. He also moved Notre Dame, idle in Week 8, up from No. 11 to No. 7.

Georgia remains No. 10 in the updated Power Rankings after a 21-0 win over Kentucky. Auburn moved up from No. 12 to No. 11 after the blowout win at Arkansas. Missouri, No. 23, in the post-Week 7 rankings, is no longer ranked after losing to Vanderbilt.

Here’s where the SEC teams check-in:

  • No. 1 LSU (7-0)
  • No. 3 Alabama (7-0)
  • No. 9 Florida (7-1)
  • No. 10 Georgia (6-1)
  • No. 11 Auburn (6-1)
