ESPN's College GameDay announces first-time host school for Saturday's show
Normally, ESPN’s College GameDay has announced by now where the show is going to be held for the coming weekend.
However, this week, entering Monday afternoon, no location had been announced. It’s clear now why that was, though.
As you can see below, the popular pregame show announced a first-time host school. Per the College GameDay Twitter account, the show is heading to Coastal Carolina on Saturday morning:

The Chanticleers play in Conway, South Carolina. They are an incredible 9-0 overall. They’ll host Liberty, Hugh Freeze’s 9-1 squad.
This should be an exciting Group of 5 game, as the only loss suffered between the 2 schools was Liberty’s loss to ACC foe NC State by 1 point.
Awesome. Love when teams like these play well enough to be ranked. Except UCF….they got annoying pretty quick.
You mean the National Champions UCF? They were a unanimous pick by UCF.
So they’re Hammer kindred spirits? Figured Bammer fans would understand claiming ridiculous National Titles they have zero rights too. Bout half the ones Bammer claimed they earned…
Poor little SLAcKer. You’re gonna get to see another one close up after you’re plowed over in ATL.
Anyone remember when UCF held that “National Championship” parade ? What idiots.
Maybe next weekend they will hit another new stop: West Point.
I’m gonna watch this game if at all possible. Both head coaches could end up in the SEC next year, one for a second ride.
Liberty should win this game. Coastal has not played a schedule as good as Liberty. Class of 2013 Go Flames!!!
Am I the only one who finds it a wee bit odd that Liberty is the Flames and flames are, you know, kinda associated with the OTHER direction?
No, you’re most definitely not the only one. Liberty should change their name to the Eagles immediately.
Agreed…somehow the “flames” just does not fit for a football-team…maybe they will become the “flaming eagles”.
Great thought there, 57939names. Maybe, they should take a page from Notre Dame and change their nickname to Fighting Protestants.
Nah. Matthew 3:11, Acts 2:3, Romans 12:11 etc. explain it. It is well known to those in evangelical subculture.
Agreed. Class of ’15 and ’19. Go LU!
CCU ’08
When I told my Clemson-grad wife 6 weeks ago that this would be the GameDay location on Dec. 5, she rolled her eyes and laughed at me.
My reaction when I found out that this was confirmed was not muted, to say the least.
It’s the little things in a marriage, ya know?
Anyway, just like old times, let’s beat the hell out of Liberty again! Chants Up!
Being right is the most important part of marriage
