Week 1 of SEC action is almost here.

On Monday, ESPN’s Bill Connelly — architect of SP+ — published score predictions for every Week 1 college football game. Here’s a summary of all the predictions involving a SEC team this weekend:

  • Arkansas 58, Arkansas Pine Bluff 0
  • Missouri 58, Murray State 51
  • Oklahoma 50, Temple 6
  • Georgia 36, Clemson 20
  • Virginia Tech 36, Vanderbilt 21
  • Tennessee 47, Chattanooga 10
  • Texas 50, Colorado State 9
  • Florida 30, Miami 30
  • South Carolina 39, Old Dominion 14
  • Mississippi State 37, Eastern Kentucky 16
  • Ole Miss 50, Furman 11
  • Alabama 46, Western Kentucky 14
  • Auburn 53, Alabama A&M 0
  • Notre Dame 29, Texas A&M 27
  • Kentucky 44, Southern Miss 12
  • LSU 41, USC 31

Although score predictions are rounded to the nearest whole number, Connelly did clarify that SP+ favors the Gators ever-so-slightly in their Week 1 matchup vs. Miami. The score prediction in that game is officially Florida 30.1, Miami 29.8.

It’s worth noting that SP+ does not account for things like injuries. Thus, Notre Dame is still favored over Texas A&M despite losing left tackle Charles Jagusah for the season during fall camp. Betting markets went from making Notre Dame a slight favorite to having Texas A&M favored by as many as 3 points in that matchup this month.

SP+ projections have the SEC favored in 14 of 16 games this week, with Texas A&M and Vanderbilt being the only exceptions. The Commodores are big home underdogs against an experienced Virginia Tech team in Week 1. Five SEC teams are set to face power-conference opposition in Week 1.
