The spring practice season is officially upon us, with teams starting their spring practices soon, if they haven’t already begun.
So, which teams are looking the best heading into the 2022 college football season? Who will make the 4-team College Football Playoff field?
On Wednesday, FOX Sports analyst RJ Young released his preseason top-25 rankings. As you can see below, 6 SEC teams made the cut:

Here’s a breakdown of the 6 SEC teams in his rankings:
- Alabama — No. 1
- Texas A&M — No. 2
- Georgia — No. 4
- Arkansas — No. 6
- Ole Miss — No. 9
- Kentucky — No. 22
How will those teams look this spring? There are some interesting questions that must be answered before real games start this fall. But, the SEC looks to be loaded once again.
