Grayson High School has developed into one of that nation’s best prep schools for developing high school players into elite college football prospects but it appears the players on the current team don’t agree with the treatment head coach Christian Hunnicutt has put them through this preseason.

According to Adam Krohn of WSB-TV in Atlanta/The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Grayson’s players initially demanded the Hunnicutt be removed from his position as head coach following a staged walkout this week. Apparently, their concerns have been acknowledged and Hunnicutt is expected to stay on to coach Grayson this season after apologizing to his team.

According to the report, players were forced to go through full-contact practices while in shorts. No players were injured during these practices.

Grayson is one of the nation’s highest-rated teams heading into the 2018 season and features the state’s No. 2 prospect (OL Wanya Morris – Tennessee commit), No. 3 prospect (LB Owen Pappoe – Auburn commit), No. 9 prospect (DE Kevin Harris – Alabama commit), No. 20 prospect (DB Kenyatta Watson II – Texas commit) among many other touted players from the 2019, 2020 and 2021 classes.
