Julian Phillips is ready to make another commitment. The 5-star power forward, a McDonald’s American, is set to make a commitment next week and 3 SEC teams are in the mix.

Phillips will commit on May 12. He has narrowed it down to 7 options, including Auburn, South Carolina and Tennessee.

Phillips committed to LSU on Oct. 8, 2021 and the signed with the Tigers on Nov. 10, 2021. On March 18, however, he requested his release from LSU after the school fired head coach Will Wade.

Listed at 6-8, 200 pounds, Phillips is rated 5-stars, the No. 2 power forward and No. 12 recruit overall nationally in the class of 2022 on the 247Sports Composite. He visited Auburn in late April.

Tennessee, Florida State and USC were among the finalists in Phillips’ initial commitment.
