Kelvin Hunter is one of the top players out of South Carolina in the 2024 recruiting class. On Saturday, he dropped his list of top 5 programs for his recruitment moving forward.

Hunter included Shane Beamer’s in-state South Carolina program alongside Auburn out of the SEC. Other schools to make the cut are Michigan, Virginia Tech and Appalachian State.

Hunter is listed as a 5-foot-11 and 181-pound safety out of West Florence High School. He had received other offers from Kentucky, Coastal Carolina, East Carolina and Georgia Southern before cutting down his list.

According to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, Hunter is a 4-star recruit and the No. 27 safety in the nation. He’s also the 307th overall recruit and the No. 6 player out of South Carolina for the cycle.

When it comes to the class of 2024, South Carolina has 5 pledges in a group that currently ranks 7th nationally by the 247 Sports Team Composite Rankings. Auburn holds 3 commitments in a group that ranks 22nd nationally.
