Kirby Smart goes on red-faced tirade toward Stetson Bennett after questionable end to first half

Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs dominated the first half of the Orange Bowl against Michigan on Friday night in Miami.

But, at the end of the first half, the Bulldogs’ poor clock management cost them a shot at a field goal to end the second quarter.

That prompted Smart to go on an epic rant directed at QB Stetson Bennett IV, getting red in the face as he yelled and screamed:

To be fair to Bennett, Smart had 1 timeout left and didn’t end up calling it. That cost the Bulldogs a chance for a Hail Mary.

Still, the Dawgs hold a 27-3 lead at the intermission, so it’s hard to find too much fault with the way things went.

Michigan gets the ball to start the third quarter. That’s going to be the most important drive of the Wolverines’ season.
